Rabdentse Ruins was the second capital of the past Kingdom of Sikkim after Yuksom and until the year 1814 AD. The state has been ruled by the king of Sikkim from this place. The ruins is located very close to Pemayangste Monastery, west Sikkim. It is an archaeological site to be visited by all the people.
emayangtse or Pemayantse Monastery It was built around the 17th century by Latseen Chembo (one of the three lamas who consecrated the king), Situated at a height of 6,841ft, West Sikkim and at a distance of approx 100 km from Gangtok is one of the oldest monasteries in the Sikkim. It is a three storied structure filled with wall painting, sculptures and antiques.
Around 10 kms from Gyalshing (District Headquarter), Pelling is today emerging as the second biggest tourist destination in the state after Gangtok. Although in itself it is little more than a strip of road lined with hotels, its main USP is the breathtaking
Gangtok, the land of monasteries, is also the largest town of Sikkim. Situated in the Shivalik Hills and lying at an altitude of 1437 metres, it’s an important Buddhist Pilgrimage Centre. Gangtok gained religious significance among the Buddhists after the construction of the Enchey Monastery in the latter part of the 19th century.
Yumthang, situated at a height of 11800 feet is popularly know as "Valley of Flowers". located at a distance of 148 kms from Gangtok, it is a paradise for nature lovers with a fascinating blend of flora and fauna and breathtaking scenic beauty. In spring season, wild flowers such a Primulas and Rhododendrons bathe and landscape in rich colors, making it a tourist hot spot.
