Day 01: Delhi (Arrival)
Around midnight arrival in New Delhi. Upon arrival, you will be met by our representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Bagdogra (by air) - Pemayangtse
In the morning you will drive to the airport for the flight to Bagdogra. After the arrival in Bagdogra you will drive through the forests and tea gardens and proceed to your today's destination Pemayangtse (The perfect Sublime Lotus) in Sikkim. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Pemayangtse. In the evening you will visit the headquarter of the Nyingama sect in Pemayangtse.
Day 03: Pemayangtse - Ravangla
Today after having breakfast you will drive further to Kechopari Lake. Kechopari means the wishing lake. The water in this lake is placid and crystal clear. This lake is situated on the road to Ravangla. After visiting the lake you will visit Tashiding Monastery. After visiting this monastery you will drive further to Ravangla. In the evening arrive in Ravangla.
Day 04: Ravangla - Gangtok
Today you will drive from Ravangla to Gangtok through terraced tea gardens and coniferous forests. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 05: Gangtok
The main attraction of your excursion remains today the monastery of Rumtek. Rumtek monastery was built as a true copy of a tibetan monastery in recent years. After visiting the monastery you will visit the institute of cottage industries. Wide range of local handicrafts in Lepcha style are produced here. In the evening you will visit the unique Research Institute of Tibetology on a hilltop which was established in 1958 to promote research on Tibet and Mahayana Buddhism.
Day 06: Gangtok
Today you will visit Tsuk-la-Khang, the royal chapel which is standing on a high bridge. You will also visit Orchid Sanctuary which is laying south of the institute. This sanctuary contains over 450 indigenous species. After the visit of sanctuary you will have walk through the bazaar of Gangtok through the area of old palace and visit the monastery Gylwa.
Day 07: Gangtok - Lachung
Today you will start our jeep safari excursion and proceed in the north of the state through the coniferous forests and terraced tea gardens to Lachung (2700 m). Upon arrival in Lachung you will be transferred to the hotel in Lachung.
Day 08: Lachung - Yumthang - Lachen
Today you will drive in jeeps to Yumthang. The way from Lachung to Yumthang has a very picturesque landscape and is filled with rhododendrons which blossom at their best in May. Yumthang is situated at an altitude of 12000 feet in North Sikkim. Yumthang is well known for its hot springs. To reach here one has to walk a few hundred yards from the road and cross the bridge on the river Lachung. The Yumthang hot water spring has high sulphur content. After visiting the springs drive back to the hotel in Lachen which is around 6 kms from Yumthang.
Day 09: Lachen - Lachung
Today again you will drive in jeeps to the holy Gurudongmar Lake (5000 m.) near the Tibet border. This lake is the largest and probably the highest in Sikkim. After visiting this lake you will drive back to Lachung. In the evening enjoy the local surroundings.
Day 10: Lachung - Gangtok
Today you will drive back in jeeps from Lachung to Gangtok where you will end your jeep safari. The drive from Lachung to Gangtok will be very long. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel in Gangtok.
Day 11: Gangtok - Bagdogra - Delhi (by air)
Early in the morning after having breakfast you will drive to Bagdogra. In the afternoon you will drive to the airport for the flight from Bagdogra to Delhi. After dinner leave the hotel for the airport.
Day 12: Delhi (Departure)
Around midnight flight to home destination.
